Jerry Willis Fund: 2020 Conference Scholarships

We look forward to your participation and engagement as part of a movement forward of artists, community activators, and instigators of creativity at the first-ever collaborative convening of the Arts Midwest + WAA 2020 Annual Conference, October 6-9.

This is a pivotal moment in the arts that challenge us to re-imagine and re-form the practice of convening. Your voice is significant as we continue this journey. The Jerry Willis Fund: 2020 Conference Scholarships provides scholarships to attend the Arts Midwest + WAA 2020 Conference for Western Arts Alliance (WAA) members and arts professionals whose experiences and perspectives reflect the multiple communities of the Western United States. We strongly encourage Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) applicants as well as those who have been laid off or furloughed due to the pandemic. We do not want financial considerations to be a barrier to participation.

NOTE: If you are not associated with a WAA Member organization, you must be a resident of one of the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawai‘i, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

Who is Eligible?

WAA members and arts professionals based in the Western United States are eligible. The list of eligible states in the West is listed above.
WAA members, BIPOC applicants, and those who have been furloughed will be prioritized for consideration.

Instructions

Time is of the essence—act today!
Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, and the application period will close by October 2nd or once all funds have been awarded.
We will process your application within one week.

Terms

Funds awarded on a first come-first served basis. Assistance of up to $100 will be awarded with preference given to WAA members, BIPOC applicants, and arts professionals laid off or furloughed as a result of the pandemic.
If your application is approved, you will receive a discount code for the applicable amount to the current registration rate when you register online.
